Wagner Society Celebrates 10th Anniversary
As the Wagner Society of Cincinnati celebrates its 10th Anniversary we take a look at the past with a great sense of pride and accomplishment for what the years brought forth. While looking back at where we have been we now focus on what opportunities the future will bring.
Successful events and activities include the following: a stable WSC membership, several musicales featuring Wagner’s music sung by our own WSC Studio Singers , Several musical analyses of individual Music Dramas including Lohengrin, Parsifal and Flying Dutchman, two one act productions of Wagner Music Dramas including Walküre Act I and Siegfried Act I with Queen City Opera, several events in partnership with Music for All Seasons and Cincinnati Song Initiative and visits to Wagner productions at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Indiana University and Dayton Opera.
Members have also participated in Symposiums, lectures, video productions of Wagner’s works and recommended resources presented on our WSC Facebook Page. All in all we have enjoyed a productive and informative past and look forward to an even more exciting future yet to come.
Thank you all for your continued support and enthusiastic interest in a future full of possibilities.
